What to expect

01

A free 15-minute phone call

We talk briefly before anything is scheduled. You can ask questions, get a sense of the fit, and decide if you want to move forward - no commitment involved.

02

A first session at your pace

The first session is about getting to know you. There's no agenda to rush through. We'll start wherever you are, and figure out what you're hoping to get out of this.

03

Ongoing sessions, weekly or biweekly

Most people meet weekly, at least at the start. Biweekly works well once things feel more settled. We can adjust as you go - this is your process.

Areas of focus

These are the things people most often bring into the room.

Anxiety & stress

The kind that doesn't turn off, even when nothing's technically wrong.

Depression

Feeling flat, stuck, or far from yourself - and wanting to change that.

Life transitions

Career shifts, relationship changes, moves, loss of identity, big decisions.

Relationship issues

Patterns that keep showing up, communication that breaks down, feeling unseen.

Grief & loss

Loss of a person, a relationship, a version of yourself, or a future you expected.

Work burnout

When the job has taken more than it gave, and you're running on fumes.

About

Dr. Claire Morrow, LCSW

I’ve been doing this work in Madison for 12 years, primarily with adults navigating anxiety, identity, and the transitions that knock you off your footing. My training is in cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic approaches, which is a clinical way of saying I pay attention to both what’s happening now and what shaped you.

I’m direct without being harsh, and I don’t just nod. If I notice something, I’ll say it. Clients often tell me they appreciate that the work feels like an actual conversation - something they can take out of the room and use. That’s the goal. I see people in person at my office in Madison, and by telehealth for Wisconsin residents.
